Sami leads a team of commercial lawyers with an emphasis on technology, startups and business sales, mergers and acquisitions.

Sami is a Partner at Robert James Lawyers and has been practising corporate and commercial law for more than 15 years. He has extensive experience assisting clients with a wide range of property and commercial transactions. Sami works with businesses of all sizes, from exciting tech startups through to some of Australia’s most recognised household brands. His core areas of practice include business sales, mergers and acquisitions, technology, retail and commercial leasing, and business succession planning.

Over the years, Sami has built a client base that includes franchisors, medical groups, property developers and small to medium enterprises. In recent years, Sami has become a sought after advisor within the technology sector, with clients comprising cyber security vendors, e-commerce retailers, software developers, online publishers, online educators, bio-medicine startups, and artificial intelligence and blockchain innovators.

Acting on a supply agreement between a national retail chain and an ASX listed wholesaler, documenting the supply and distribution of goods valued at $3B per annum.

Acting for a hospitality franchisor with over 120 quick service restaurants, including advising on the roll out of multiple virtual brands across their network.
